La Caixa
Social enterprises newly created youth social enterprises and social enterprises with new business lines.
According to gather bases, understand social entrepreneurs and individuals or organizations the aim of which is to achieve a transformation or social impact through an economic and environmentally sustainable business activity.
This initiative considers that social enterprises in “seed phase” comprise entrepreneurs who intend to start a new activity as social enterprises with a formal tour less than three years.
Obra Social “la Caixa” will provide comprehensive support to the initiatives of these entrepreneurs and social project that provides:
- Financial support
- Training and support management
- Networking

ESADE, BBVA and PWC Foundation – Momentum Project
Momentum Project is an initiative of ESADE, BBVA (GPA of PwC) and PwC, aimed at promoting social entrepreneurship in Spain.
The objective is to attract social entrepreneurs with projection. Each year, up to 10 entrepreneurs are selected who are in the process of scaling their projects, with the objective of accessing a program that integrates training, advice and financing.
A Social Investment Day has been established for BBVA Private Banking clients to present the projects annually and seek financing.
BBVA has created a financial vehicle so that private investors can invest in identified social entrepreneurs every year.
The role of PwC is to carry out the independent analysis and evaluation of the selected projects (Due Diligence non-financial), to give security to the investors.
Objectives of Momentum Project:
- Identify and develop social entrepreneurship in Spain.
- Support the consolidation and development of social enterprises that provide effective and scalable solutions for social and environmental challenges.
- To create an ecosystem of support for this type of enterprises.
- Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among entrepreneurs, students and managers for the co-creation of social and environmental value.
- Generate knowledge related to social entrepreneurship.
- Encourage the participation of private investors in the financing of social enterprises.

Ship2B Foundation promotes a new way of conceiving the business world helping to create businesses that solve major social and environmental issues, without neglecting its profitability.
To achieve this has a large impact on net investment level in Spain and in co-investment vehicles that allow “startups” that create a dual social and economic profitability. The foundation is committed to promoting this sector from sectoral collaboration and networking.
The service offered to people who want to carry out a social entrepreneurship project consists of four phases of support and guidance:

- Consolidation of the “startup”: accelerating the project and close the first round of funding.
- Financing growth: the presentation of the co-investment vehicle and closing the second round of funding.

Generalitat de Catalunya (in collaboration with the European Social Fund) – Programa Emprèn Social
Social Entrepreneurship Program in Catalonia whose objective, first position, extend and boost social entrepreneurship in the whole of Catalan society. Secondly identify social entrepreneurship initiatives and make a selection to accompany them enhance their viability. Finally, create an ecosystem that facilitates access to tools and resources and interaction between the different actors of social entrepreneurship.
During 2011, 2012 and 2013, the Social Entrepreneurship Program projects in Catalonia has accompanied its creation and implementation, offering them training, tutoring, mentoring and public visibility. Has developed a range of resources that are currently in Catalonia, in the service of social entrepreneurship. Has invited social entrepreneurs around the world to share their experiences. Has promoted the creation of a favourable ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in Catalonia, bringing together institutions and organizations that currently develop services and resources for projects’ social entrepreneurship in our country. It has also developed actions to strengthen the ecosystem and viewing social entrepreneurship in Catalonia through the realization of publications and editing materials, a compilation of the existing resources for social entrepreneurship, a map of the actors as well as meetings, seminars and consolidate a network for social entrepreneurship in Catalonia.
Who is it aimed at? Social entrepreneurs in the process of creating their initiative to lead projects with social impact, innovative and sustainable.
